School Management Federation (SMF) successfully organised a one-day free training workshop on National Education Policy (NEP) in Mumbai which was enthusiastically attended by more than 100 teachers from various schools in the city.

Addressing the event, Principal Shabana Khan (Founder & General Secretary, SMF) said:

“Teacher training is imperative for the correct understanding of a revolutionary educational initiative like NEP. Such workshops not only improve the teaching quality but also help teachers adapt to the needs of the new age.”

Principal Shabana Khan highlighted an important point and said:

“Education is not limited to curriculum or facilities alone but also requires qualified, aware and responsible teachers who not only teach books but also bring out the hidden talents of students. A true teacher is one who enriches his disciples with the wealth of consciousness, knowledge, thinking and understanding. Such teachers leave an indelible mark in the lives of their students and students remain grateful to them throughout their lives.”

During the workshop, experienced educationists discussed various aspects of NEP in detail and logically. Through interactive sessions, the participants got an opportunity to learn how the new education policy can be effectively adopted in classroom teaching.

The SMF team and the trustees of various schools in Mumbai played an important role in the effective planning and excellent organization of this successful workshop.

SMF will continue to be active with the same enthusiasm in the future for professional training of teachers, educational reform and understanding of policy.
