On the occasion of the annual Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Mubarak Khan Rahmatullah Alaih, a special event of “Ek Shaam Shaheedon Ke Naam” was organized at Mubarak Dargah Sharif in Gorakhpur with great enthusiasm, devotion and a message of national unity. On this occasion, the Gaddinshin of Ajmer Sharif Dargah and Chairman of Chishti Foundation Haji Syed Salman Chishti presented the Mubarak Gilaaf from Ajmer Dargah Sharif and prayed for peace, brotherhood and progress in the country.
Peethadheeshwar Shri Goswami Sushil Maharaj Ji, senior social worker Shri Lallesh Reddy Ji, and Dargah Committee President Shri Iqrar Ahmed Ji played a special role in this grand event. Thousands of pilgrims and devotees from all over the country unitedly raised their voice against terrorism and terror and paid tribute to the Indian citizens martyred in the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir. Special prayers were offered for the injured and their families.
Haji Syed Salman Chishti said in his message:
“The soul of India resides in love, peace and brotherhood. The message from Ajmer Sharif is that we all have to make humanity and mutual love our mission. We have to unite and protect our country against terrorism and hatred. The sacrifice of the martyrs will always remain alive in our hearts and we have to give the true message of peace to our future generations.”
Peethadheeshwar Shri Goswami Sushil Maharaj said in his address:
“India has been the biggest messenger of spirituality, love and co-existence in the world. Today, from this holy platform, we take a pledge that forgetting the differences of caste, religion and language, we will all remain united and will fight against evils like terrorism. The sacrifice of the martyrs inspires us that nothing is greater than the country.”
Expressing his views, Shri Lallesh Reddy said:
“Today, from this holy land of Gorakhpur, we promise that we will further strengthen the Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb of India. Our love, our unity, will become the biggest counter force against the forces of terror and violence. The sacrifice of the martyrs teaches us that the real strength lies in mutual brotherhood and patriotism.”
Shri Iqrar Ahmed, President, Dargah Committee, said:
“Hazrat Mubarak Khan Dargah Sharif has always given the message of peace and harmony. Today, when the country needs unity the most, the prayers and intentions raised from this Dargah will give a new light to the entire country against hatred. Every citizen should imbibe this sacrifice of the martyrs in his life as respect and inspiration.”
At the end of the program, the entire gathering celebrated patriotism and national unity with slogans of ‘Jai Hind’ and ‘Hindustan Zindabad’.
The programme “Ek Shaam Shaheedon Ke Naam” has been recorded in the history as a living example of India’s shared culture, spirituality and shared resolve for peace.
